The Via Ferrata of Castelo de Vide alows na singular view of the village. 200 m of climbing to reach the Chapel of “Nossa Senhora da Penha”.
It was the third Via Ferrata to be opened in Portugal, the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Castelo de Vide and the Alentejo Feel Nature project, from the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Alentejo (CIMAA).
It is an initiation route and is located on the cliff top of the Serra de S. Paulo.
Access to the road starts next to the car park of Ermida da Nossa Senhora da Penha, following the yellow signs to the base of the cliff where the road begins.
