The Soprador do Carvalho cave, with a documented length of 3000m and an estimated 4500m, is the most significant area of the Dueça River Speleological System, the most extensive cave in the Sicó Massif and one of the largest in Portugal.

Carvalho, due to its significant morphological and structural complexity, is carried out under the guidance and monitoring of a team of speleologists, specialized and passionate about the cavities of the system and the entire surrounding area.

The cave is located in the municipality of Oliveira do Hospital, in the central region of Portugal, and can be visited throughout the year, provided that a guide is hired in advance.
