Explore the rainforest and Fortuna waterfall by horse during the morning and relax in the famous thermal pools during the afternoon.

Your breath-taking, adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel and a relaxing private drive through the wonderful Costa Rican countryside on an air-conditioned transportation and recent model deluxe vehicle or mini bus. Your guide will point out many sights of interest including coffee plantations, sugar cane and citrus plantations, diverse fruit stands and rural farming communities. You will be heading Fortuna Town, about 2 hours’ drive from San Jose. Upon arrival to the beautiful property of Arenal Mundo Aventura, you will have some free time for use restrooms and explore the surroundings before to start the horseback ride into the rainforest.

Located in the northern lowlands of Costa Rica, the impressive Arenal Volcano is a National Park that attracts thousands and thousands of tourists due to its beauty and recent past volcanic activity. Back in the 80´s the volcano was very active, but now has reduced its activity and we could say that it has entered a period of calm. However, the beauty of the Volcano and surroundings are just spectacular. Once in La Fortuna Town, a sightseeing tour will show you the highlights of the area and its rich diversity of tourist attractions, ecosystems, the lake, culture, customs & traditions of this emblematic town of Costa Rica.

After being prepared with the security instructions, you will set off, accompanied by our guide, along the 3 km. (2 mile) trail, riding through reforested areas and private farms until we reach the Pino Blanco Waterfall lookout.

Along the way you will delight in the vegetation of the mature forests along the La Fortuna River, cross the thrilling hanging bridge, and discover some of the frogs, toucans, insects, and monkeys who make this area their home. Once we arrive to the majestic La Fortuna Waterfall and river, you will have the opportunity to take pictures, or climb in for a refreshing swim, or just enjoy the breeze off the water and the beauty of the river canyon of over 100 meters (320 ft.) in height.

We will double back and return to the reception area on the same trail, passing again by the beautiful Pino Blanco Waterfall for one more view. Along the ride back, you will have the chance to visit the Maleku Indian Cultural Rescue Center. In this small representative project, you will learn about the traditional dress, cultures, crafts, beliefs, and language of these cultural ancestors of Costa Rica.

For our Arenal Horseback Riding tour experience is not necessary for this exciting adventure. Our guides will provide you with the basic riding instructions and the confidence you need to start riding. Our healthy and tame horses will give you a very enjoyable ride.

Later, you will relax in one of the best thermal water places in the area: Baldi Hot Springs. At Baldi Hot Springs you will find an endless dreamed stay, where the natural environment, colorful natural gardens, therapeutic waters, pure air and our care combine on a perfect state; the dream came true. Upon arrival to Baldi Hot Springs, enjoy a delicious Buffet Lunch before to jump into the Thermal Pools. Lockers and Towels are included in our tours.
