Super Jeep Northern Lights Tour: The Northern Lights are a must see during your winter stay in Iceland. From September to April it is the most spectacular sight you can find in the whole country. It is not possible to describe the beauty and charm of the aurora, it is something you need to experience to truly appreciate the magic. Seeing the dancing shapes and colors for the first time is truly a mesmerizing and unforgettable experience. During the drive your knowledgeable guide will explain all the science, folklore and old beliefs surrounding this unique phenomenon.
To maximize chances of seeing the Northern Lights our super jeeps will take you to remote and hidden locations that not even regular 4x4s can reach. Our guides are experts in reading the weather so you can be sure, the place they choose is the best to hunt the aurora!
The Northern Lights are an unpredictable natural phenomenon so sometimes it takes time and patience to find them but the off road ride in our super jeep and thrill of finding the lights will be an amazing experience itself. To make the hunt even better, you will have a chance to try traditional Icelandic pastry and liquor (only for adults above 20). We will also bring hot chocolate and wool blankets to keep you warm.
We always try our best to find the aurora but the sightings are not guaranteed. If your tour will not be successful, you can join us again for free (subject to availability).
Please note that Northern Lights are heavily dependent on weather conditions. Based on the weather forecast we make a decision each day before 18:00 if the tour will operate or not. In the event of tour cancellation, you have the option to reschedule for an available day or receive a full refund for your booking.
