Mount Kirkjufell will be our first stop.
Mostly known as the "arrowhead mountain" since it has been featured in Game of Thrones, the name Kirkjufell translates to the "church mountain".
This majestic mountain stands alone on the edge of the ocean. With a short walk, you will reach its waterfall: Kirkjufellsfoss, from there the view is absolutely stunning.
While most of the beaches of Iceland are made out of black sand, Djúplaónssandur belongs among the most famous ones.
Besides unique rock formations, Djúplaónssandur also carries traces of its past and history. Remains of shipwrecks and stones that were used to measure the strength of aspirant fishermen are still present on the beach.
The one true gem of Snæfellsnes, soundly guarded by the statue of the first settler of the peninsula, Bárður Snæfellsás, is the fishing village of Arnarstapi.
The coastline of Arnarstapi is the place of all the most interesting rock formations. Cliffs made out of basaltic columns and arches that legends compare to trölls, are home of thousands of birds that for some reason, have decided to travel halfway across the globe to lay their eggs just there.
Kirkjufell, Djúpalónssandur and Arnarstapi, are only the most famous places in Iceland, your guide will take you to several other places.
