Private Hiking Tour to the Active Volcanoes of the Reykjanes Peninsula: Iceland is the most volcanic island on the planet, with an eruption on average every 4 to 5 years.
Although, this statistic is likely to change, as two eruptions occurred only one year apart, in a similar location. This hike is going to take us to the sites of both eruptions.
The first eruption happened on the 19th of March 2021 and lasted for 6 months, creating an amazingly huge lava field. This lava field is still steaming nowadays even after the eruption is over.
The second eruption took place in Meradalir on the 3rd of August 2022, and only lasted 3 weeks.
