The Pacuare River is one of the best choices for your adventure treks in Costa Rica. A true river gorge, it is flanked by steep, green walls. Here you enjoy the feeling of total isolation from urban life and the realness of being connected with nature. Pick up from La Fortuna or your Arenal area hotel at 8:30 AM or 2:30 PM in a comfortable mini-bus with air conditioning. Arrive at the Arenal Lake Dam dock after a 15 to 30-minute ride (depending on the location of your hotel). Here, you will board our covered 22-passenger boat and cruise across Lake Arenal in 30 minutes. During your ride, you’ll enjoy great views of the Arenal Volcano and the Monteverde mountain range. Once you reach the Río Chiquito dock, you’ll board a mini-bus (with air conditioning) for a 1.5 hour ride to Monteverde. Upon arrival in Monteverde, drop off directly at your hotel

Explore Monteverde at Night in Search for birds and other animals. El Bosque Night Tour Monteverde is the only one in the country that is primarily focused on birds, and that’s not all… First, you will start with a small introduction where you will be assigned a local tour guide. Next, you will walk around the open areas of the property where the forest is lower. This is where you will spend about an hour finding birds sleeping in trees. Then, you will enter the property’s nature trail system to explore and learn about this preservation area. This is where you will find a few more birds as well as some of the coolest insects (like walking sticks, tarantulas and leafcutter ants), rare mammals (like porcupines, opossums, and olingos) and depending on the weather condition, you might even spot snakes and frogs all in their natural habitat.

Cables stretch from mountain to mountain, reaching incredible lengths and heights, crossing canyons, going into the forests, and even sometimes in between clouds. But Sky Trek is more than that, live a unique experience beyond distance or heights, admire unique views, and feel the adrenaline like no other adventure.

Playa Carrillo is a less developed beach, which makes it a much more attractive place. There are few buildings in the area and instead of the beach being lined with shops, it is lined with palm trees. There is a street along the beach and a large parking lot. Some picnic tables are also available. The waves are generally small, since the beach is located in Bahía Carrillo, a bay protected by rocky headlands. This makes the beach a good option for families with young children or beach lovers who prefer calmer waters. On the beach you can go snorkelling in the coral reefs, swimming, kayaking, water skiing, sport fishing or windsurfing.
