Today we will travel to Currais Novos, where our geosite adventure begins. We will observe the stunning Pico do Totoró, Pedra do Caju, and the local fauna, with a special focus on the region's birds. We will have lunch and a presentation at the Associação Mulheres do Quandu before heading to the Cânions dos Apertados geosite in the afternoon. Get ready for an action-packed day filled with stunning views and exciting experiences!
Today we head to Acari, where we will deepen our connections with the local community. We will visit the amazing popular artist Adriano Campelo, sample some of the region's typical sweets, and end the day at the Marmitas do Rio Carnaúba Geosite, an exceptional spot to enjoy the sunset. We will spend the night in an Inn in the city of Acari.
Today we will start the day with the Serra das Cruzes trail, where you will have the opportunity to take in a spectacular panoramic view of the Caatinga. After lunch, we will have a relaxing afternoon to recharge our batteries, including a refreshing swim in the Gargalheiras dam. It will be a day of adventure, rest, and rejuvenation!
We will set off for Carnaúba dos Dantas today. On a trail in the Xique Xique Geosite, we will participate in a Rock Art Painting workshop with José Evangelista. After a stop for snacks on the road, we will continue to the Monte do Galo Geosite for sunset. We will spend the night in Parelhas, after a full day of art, adventure, and stunning views.
In the morning, we will visit the town of Barra, where the film "Bacurau" was shot. We will have lunch at Casa di Taipa, a delightful restaurant. Our afternoon will be spent meditating at sunset at the Portal of the Universe with Ron. We return to Cerro Corá at night.
The day begins with a tour of the Serra Verde Geosite. We will have lunch at Colinas dos Flamboyants Restaurant and have some free time to rest. Finally, we continue to the Serra Preta site, with a trail, sunset, happy hour, bonfire and dinner to celebrate our last night of the Expedition.
We will have a quick wrap-up over breakfast before we leave back to Natal. Arrival scheduled for 1pm at the airport - travellers should book their return flights for departure after 3pm.
