Borgarfjörður and Golf tour: Your adventure begins bright and early when we collect you from your Reykjavik pick up location.. From there we will make the scenic journey to Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring.

Deildartunguhver

Upon arrival at Deildartunguhver, you will be impressed by its power and the clouds of steam that rise from its bubbling, seething waters. Deildartunguhver, is also a fully functioning heating system, for the towns of Borgarnes and Akranes, offering an environmentally friendly, natural way of delivering hot water for human consumption.  It is a beautiful natural sight, ideal for anyone who wants to gain an insight into the awesome power of nature. At deildartunguhver, you can choose to visit the spa Krauma, where they combine hot water with glacial water from Iceland’s smallest glacier, Ok, to create the ideal bathing temperature. This makes it the perfect place to relax in a natural spa, in a beautiful natural setting, allowing the nutrient-rich, geothermal waters to rejuvenate your body.

Hraunfossar Waterfalls

From there, we will travel to the Hraunfossar Waterfalls a truly majestic place, known as the wide and gentle falls. What sets them apart is the fact that they are not a singular body of water. Instead, the falls consist of numerous smaller streams that merge to create a plethora of tiny white waterfalls, all flowing into the Hvita river. It is an incredibly beautiful and surprisingly colorful sight, with gleaming black rocks, red, yellow and green plants, the deep blue river and brilliant white streams of water.

Barnafoss Waterfalls

Following that, we will visit another waterfall called Barnafoss (the children’s falls), deriving its name from a tale of two Icelandic children who supposedly fell into it and met their demise.

Despite this slightly tragic urban legend, they remain an absolutely beautiful sight, where cloudy white water, runs across craggy rocks formed by volcanic activity over the millennia. Their water is famous for its stunning color, exhibiting a slightly alien, foggy, grey quality.

After this stop we drive to Borgarnes where will will have some lunch before playing 9 or 18 holes at Golf klúbbur Borgarness.
