What Will You Do

Transfer in Private Taxi + HighLand in Santa Cruz

Arrival transfer. You will arrive at Baltra airport and have a personalized welcome (sign with your name and partner) to go to Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island. We will leave the airport to arrive in a bus that will take us to Canal de Itabaca which, we will cross through a barge (the maximum time sailing 10 minutes). When you reach Santa Cruz Island we will start the tour through what is called the upper part of the island. We will take the road to visit three places, the twins (geological faults), the ranch where you can see the Galapagos turtles and the lava tunnel. These three tourist attractions are visited autonomously (our driver takes them to the three places and waits for them during the activities). The tour will end at the hotel selected for entry registration.

We will visit the Charles Darwin Science Station, famous for breeding in captivity of giant turtles, called Galapagos that live an average of 150 years. It was created in 1964, has an Interpretation Center of natural history. The station is the hub of foreign scientists coming to the islands to deal with research programmes.

Ferry from Santa Cruz to Isabela + Wetlands Tour

-Ferry from Santa Cruz to Isabela. In the afternoon we will go to Puerto Ayora pier where we will take a water taxi to the boat, a journey of approximately two and a half hours, which will take us to Isabela Island. Once on the island, we’ll transfer you to the hotel. - Wetlands are a complex of trails, located south of Isabela Island, Galapagos. They have a great variety of flora and fauna, as well as spectacular landscapes of the bay. We will visit the most interesting spots in Isabela. After a pleasant weather in the wetlands we will return to the hotel.

You have the option to choose between visit Tintoreras or Sierra Negra Volcano:

- Tintoreras Tours Navigation (20 min) starts at the dock on board a small boat. The islet takes its name from white fin sharks known as dyers. This is considered one of the most fascinating species of Galapagos, in the same area we will find: sea lions, sea iguanas, blue paw pikers, crabs, sea turtles, pelicans and peculiar Galapagos penguins. Then we will move to a sea inlet on the islet where you can dive, the site is ideal for this activity due to a variety of fish, starfish, sea urchins, manta rays, sharks and beautiful sea lions swim on site. -The Sierra Negra Volcano is considered the oldest volcano in Isabela. The 12-km walk lasts approximately 3 hours. The walk is done on a path of medium difficulty, with a steep slope. The Sierra Negra Volcano has the second longest crater in the world, approximately 6 miles in diameter and 300 feet deep and is one of the most spectacular views of the Galapagos. The journey continues towards the Chico Volcano, where you can feel the warm earth when we approach because it is an active volcano. In the afternoon we return to the hotel.

Ferry from Isabela to Santa Cruz + Bay Tour + Tortuga Bay

In the morning from the hotel, at the agreed time, we will go to the dock of Isabela to take the speedboat to take a water taxi that will take us to Puerto Villamil, which will take us back to the island of Santa Cruz.

In the afternoon we will meet in the lobby of the hotel to go to the "Loberia", a small island located two miles away, where the sea lions are. They’re very kind and like to swim with people. Next, we will move to the Shark Channel, a fissure or crevice formed by the magmatic chamber, where we can observe the completely harmless sharks "SHOOTS Ravine". Among the lava rocks you can also observe ocean birds. The third destination to visit is the Love Channel, another fissure, fantastic for photography of exceptional scenic beauty. Next, let’s go to the "Franklin Bay" where sea turtles, golden stripes, eagle stripes and a mangrove zone are found, where pelicans and herons nest according to the season." The Crack" is the next place to visit. Here take a fifteen-minute walk on the lava rocks where you can see the Darwin finches, coastal birds and the lagoon, and endemic and native vegetation. The cracks are still the channels of sharks and love, only the interior, where the water is less salty. Here you can dive and swim ravine. - Tortuga Bay. Duration: 3 hours The activity will start by fulfilling in the hotel lobby at the agreed time to move, to the dock to embark on a boat that will transport us to a beautiful nesting beach of turtles. Tortuga Bay is known for being one of the longest white sandy beaches, where you can practice swimming, diving, kayaking or walking.
