Slovenia’s pearls are found inland, in mountainous/alpine regions further north, close to the borders with Italy and Austria. The big postcard (and most visited city) is, without a doubt, Bled. This beautiful town is set on a glacial lake and surrounded by the Julian Alps. Although it can get pretty crowded in summer, it’s still worth a visit for its natural beauty and serenity.
