The Cromlech of Almendres is a Megalithic monument located in the Alentejo region of Portugal. Consisting of 97 stones arranged in a circular pattern, the Cromlech is thought to be one of the oldest standing structures in Europe. Although the exact purpose of the Cromlech is unknown, it is believed to have been used for ritual or ceremonial purposes. Today, the Cromlech is a popular tourist destination and an important part of Portuguese heritage.
