During dolphin watching, it is essential to fully comply with international recommendations and rules of the code of conduct, in order to minimize disturbance. Silence is requested on board and the maximum duration of observations is 30 minutes.
During the activity you will have access to explanatory material about the resident population of dolphins in Setúbal - Os Golfinhos do Sado; over the monuments, the Sado estuary and the adjacent marine area.
Stop for swimming in the sea
Whenever possible and when the sun invites us, we make a short stop for a dip in the sea.
Underwater Vision
The two underwater viewing rooms are accessible throughout the voyage. After seeing the dolphins, we looked for areas of adequate depth and visibility to observe the seabed.
The trip is accompanied by experienced marine biologists who will help identify each of the dolphins and interpret their behavior and the environment.
Security and additional information:
For safety reasons, children must be accompanied by an adult; Except in the case of groups of children (schools, atls, associations…) where the minimum proportion is one adult responsible for every 10 children.
Passengers with special needs, with temporary or permanent physical disability (sensory or motor, mental or other type of disability) must be properly accompanied by a care provider during the event.
Wheelchairs and non-electrical equipment can be moved manually on board the vessel.
All vessels have the means of rescue and safety required by law.
All vessels are inspected and certified by the competent authorities.
Dolphin Bay has all the insurance required by law, including the one that protects the customer.
We advise:
Wear clothing appropriate to the weather conditions on the day of the event;
Prioritize the use of non-slip and comfortable shoes.
Use of hat and sunscreen.
The tour lasts approximately 2h30 to 3h.
You must arrive at the departure point for check-in 15m before departure time.
