Blue Cave Adventure – We offer you the opportunity to visit the Blue Cave, one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Bay of Boka Kotorska. During the speedboat ride, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Perast, Our Lady of the Rocks, Tivat, Porto Montenegro and Herceg Novi.
On our way to the Blue Cave, we will make a brief stop near the entrances to the abandoned submarine tunnels, which were built by the Yugoslav Army. As we proceed, the open sea and the island with a fortress called Mamula will come into view. “Mamula” was initially designed as a defensive fort situated in the bay’s central location for optimal blocking.
Italians transformed the fort into a notorious concentration camp with vicious treatment during World War II. Our skipper will give you the information about the history of this island. We will not go there because of ongoing renovation works. After that, we will proceed to the Blue Cave where you can enjoy swimming and diving. The cave has two openings. A large entrance permits boats and smaller vessels to access the cave, allowing tourists to witness its stunning light and water show.
To fully experience the cave, we suggest swimming from the boat and using snorkeling masks to explore the underwater world. For unsecure swimmers, we will provide life jackets. We’ll stop at Our Lady of the Rocks islet, which we passed at the start, while returning to Kotor.
On an islet is located catholic church which was as renovated in 1722. The church contains 68 paintings by Tripo Kokolja, a famous 17th-century baroque artist from Perast.
