We depart Bergen city center after breakfast (08:30), watching the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bryggen from the seaside with the beautiful backdrop of the seven mountains surrounding the city, including Mount Fløyen and Mount Ulriken.
We slowly cruise out the fjords from Bergen. The scenery changes gradually from when we leave the second largest city in Norway, passing the suburbs, to when we pass narrow fjords, islands and villages, and into the Hardanger Fjord– to the village Jondal. Our car (BMW X5) is waiting to take you up to the Folgefonna glacier, about 19 km each way. You will have lunch next to the glacier, resturant Fonna 1199
Up at the glacier, we can either just walk over to the glacier for a look, or do a VIP guided tour to walk on the glacier for typically 3 hours. When finished, we go back down to the village to go to by car, with a ferry crossing the fjord, and via Norheimsund and Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall on the way back to Bergen.
We should be back in Bergen 7PM
