Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum

Visit the most well-known former concentration camp and the place of the biggest and most tragic genocide in the world history – The Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum that has witnessed death of around 1.5 million people committed by the Nazis. During your trip, you will visit Auschwitz I, which was the first and main part of the camp but also served as administrative headquarters for the whole complex and to Auschwitz II – Birkenau, which was initially designed as a concentration camp and quickly turned into the main place of the genocide with gas chambers and crematoria. Birkenau was also the place where women’s camp was located. It definitely is a must-see place in Poland, but also in Europe altogether. 

Wieliczka Salt Mine

You will visit one of the oldest working Salt Mines in the World – the Wieliczka’s Salt Mine, which has been producing table salt for over 700 years! Your English speaking guide will take You up to 140 meters underground for a 2,5-hours journey through over 2,5-kilometers long tourist route full of chambers with amazing carvings and statues and large collection of mining machines and equipment, where everything is made of salt. Please note that to reach the first level of the mine (64 metres underground), You have to descent a wooden stairway which has 378 stairs. After the tour, You will be taken up to the surface with a lift.

What do I need to bring?

  • Passport or ID to enter Museum’s grounds.
  • You can carry your umbrella, extra jumper or backpack with you, but bear in mind that the maximum size of bags and backpacks allowed to carry on the Museum grounds is 30 x 20 x 10 cm — in case you won’t need it you can always leave it in the car, the driver will be waiting for you the entire time.
  • Wear comfortable shoes, it is a walking tour!
  • The weather in Poland can be really tricky so if it is cloudy and chilly bring extra jacket as it might be windy.
