Lindoso, in the parish with the same name as the municipality of Ponte da Barca, is a tourist village known and visited by many people.
Located in the heart of the Peneda do Gerês National Park, in the municipality of Ponte da Barca. More than fifty granaries make up the landscape, reminiscent of the community tradition of mountain populations.
Lindoso is a land of heritage, culture and people who are proud of their legacy. Of its valuable built heritage, the Medieval Castle, the Cruzeiro, the group of granaries and the community threshing floor stand out. The Castle, from the 12th century, is one of the best preserved in Minho and one of the most emblematic monuments of the municipality of Ponte da Barca.
From the top of the castle, visitors can see a stunning panorama over the Lindoso Valley and some of the villages that make up the Peneda do Gerês National Park.
