More to know about Ephesus
Ephesus, Greek Ephesos, the most important Greek city in Ionian Asia Minor, the ruins of which lie near the modern village of Selƈuk in western Turkey. About 350 miles by road west-southwest of Ankara, Ephesus was the capital of Roman Asia Minor and was notable for the large number of ancient Greek monuments remaining in its site, including one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Temple of Artemis.
