What to Expect
Meet the team beside the football field in Sete Cidades village. Collect your SUP board, paddle, life vest, and waterproof bag, and receive a brief safety orientation before heading to the water's edge.
Enter the lagoon and find your footing on the board. Instructors or staff are present to assist beginners in those first moments of balance adjustment.
Once comfortable, paddle at your own pace along the shoreline of the caldera lake. The calm water allows you to set your own rhythm and cover as much or as little distance as you prefer within the hour.
Pause on the water to observe the surrounding caldera walls, lush vegetation, and the distinctive colour contrast between the two lagoon sections. This is a recognised natural landmark of the Azores.
Return to the launch point at the end of your session, return equipment, and change into dry clothing. No transfers are provided, so plan your onward journey from Sete Cidades independently.
