Good Morning Amazon: 1 Night at the Jungle Lodge
Piranha fishing, alligator watching, and a night deep in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.
This Amazon jungle overnight tour takes you from the port of Manaus by speedboat and motorized canoe to a remote lodge approximately 85 km into the rainforest, where the Rio Negro sets the tone for two days of genuine wilderness immersion.
The journey itself is part of the experience, combining river crossings, road transfers through riverside communities, and a canoe ride through forest-lined waterways before you arrive at the lodge for a midday meal.
A bilingual guide accompanies the group throughout, leading afternoon canoe excursions into narrow creeks, a nocturnal wildlife search for caimans, a morning jungle walk focused on medicinal plants, and free time for swimming in the dark, tannin-rich waters of the Rio Negro.

Itinerary
Hotel pick-up is followed by departure from the Manaus port by speedboat, crossing the Rio Negro to the village of Cacau Pirera. A road transfer of approximately 50 minutes brings the group to the village of Paricatuba, where a motorized canoe continues the journey to the lodge.
The group arrives at the jungle lodge around noon for lunch. The lodge sits approximately 85 km from Manaus and offers a genuine off-grid setting in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.
After lunch, the guide leads the group on a canoe trip through small creeks for piranha fishing. As darkness falls, a nocturnal expedition provides the opportunity to observe caimans and other forest wildlife before returning to the lodge for dinner.
The day begins with breakfast followed by an approximately 2.5-hour guided walk through the rainforest. The guide explains the properties of medicinal plants and points out the characteristics of the tall, dense trees typical of this elevated section of the Amazon.
After lunch back at the lodge, there is free time to swim in the Rio Negro before the group prepares for the return journey. The group arrives back in Manaus at approximately 5:00 pm.
