5 Days Amazon Jungle Adventure Tour

Five days of guided exploration through the world's largest tropical rainforest, deep into the heart of the Brazilian Amazon.

The Amazon Jungle Adventure Tour takes travelers into one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet, covering territory that spans eight countries and supports an extraordinary range of wildlife and plant life.

Departing from Manaus by speedboat, guests travel deep into the Rio Negro basin to a remote jungle lodge approximately 85 kilometers from the city. Each day brings a distinct layer of the rainforest to life, from medicinal plant walks and piranha fishing to nocturnal wildlife expeditions by canoe.

The itinerary is structured to balance immersion with education. Bilingual guides lead every activity, providing context on Amazonian ecology, indigenous farming traditions, and sustainable forest practices that have shaped life in the region for generations.

On Day 3, visitors meet local Caboclo communities who maintain traditional lifestyles and share their knowledge openly. An overnight jungle camping experience on the same day offers a rare opportunity to fall asleep to the chorus of howler monkeys and tropical birds.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

1
Day 1 — Departure from Manaus and Arrival at the Lodge

Guests are picked up from their Manaus hotel and transferred by speedboat across the Rio Negro to Cacau Pirera, then by car to Paricatuba village. A motorized canoe journey covers the final stretch to the lodge, arriving in time for lunch. The afternoon is spent on a canoe trip through jungle creeks for piranha fishing, followed by a nocturnal expedition to observe alligators and other wildlife.

2
Day 2 — Jungle Walk and Canoe through the Igarapes

After breakfast, a two-and-a-half-hour guided jungle walk explores the dense primary forest, with the guide pointing out medicinal plants and explaining the layered ecology of the canopy. The afternoon offers a paddling canoe trip through narrow water channels known as Igarapes or flooded igapo lands, depending on the season.

3
Day 3 — Caboclo Village Visit and Overnight Jungle Camping

An early sunrise tour precedes breakfast before the group visits a local Caboclo community to observe traditional farming methods and daily life. After lunch at the lodge, the group departs for an overnight jungle camp where the guide demonstrates sustainable forest survival techniques. The night provides close encounters with bird calls, howler monkeys, and the sounds of the Amazon after dark.

4
Day 4 — Special Adventure in the Paricatuba Area

This day is dedicated to a special guided adventure in the Paricatuba area, exploring terrain and ecosystems in a different zone of the forest. Guests return to the lodge for accommodation at the end of the day.

5
Day 5 — Final Jungle Walk, River Swim, and Return to Manaus

The last morning begins with breakfast in the jungle followed by a walk back to the lodge. After lunch, guests have free time to swim in the distinctive dark waters of the Rio Negro before the return journey to Manaus, arriving approximately at 5:00 pm.
