Snorkeling Between Continents in Silfra, Iceland
Float on crystal-clear glacial water between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates in one of the world's most extraordinary dive sites.
Snorkeling in Silfra is a rare opportunity to drift through the fissure separating two tectonic plates, submerged in some of the clearest water found anywhere on Earth. This private tour places you directly in the hands of expert guides from Troll Expeditions inside the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park.
Silfra is a glacial crack filled with meltwater that has filtered through volcanic rock for decades before reaching the fissure. Visibility regularly exceeds 100 meters, and the water maintains a constant temperature near freezing year-round. National Geographic has recognized this site as one of the top dive destinations on the planet.
The tour is conducted on a private basis, meaning the experience is tailored entirely to your group. Your guide will walk you through the geological history of the site before you enter the water, ensuring you understand what you are witnessing beneath the surface.
After the snorkel, participants receive complimentary GoPro photos capturing their time between the continents. This is a bucket-list activity found nowhere else in the world, set within Iceland's celebrated Golden Circle route.
