Your private Superjeep departs from Reykjavik in the morning, heading toward Thingvellir National Park. The drive provides an introduction to Iceland's lava-field landscape and the UNESCO-listed rift valley ahead.

Suited in a drysuit, you enter the Silfra fissure and snorkel through the crystal-clear glacial water between two continental plates. Your guide explains the geological context while you float through sections known as Silfra Cathedral and the Silfra Lagoon.

After the snorkeling session, take time to walk through Thingvellir and visit the site of the Althing, Iceland's original Viking-era parliament established in 930 AD. The rift valley itself provides a visible surface expression of the same tectonic forces you explored underwater.

The route continues to Gullfoss, where the Hvita River drops across two distinct steps before disappearing into a narrow canyon. The viewpoint allows close observation of the waterfall's volume and force in most weather conditions.

The final stop on the Golden Circle is the Geysir geothermal field, where the Strokkur geyser erupts approximately every five to ten minutes. The wider area features boiling mud pools, steaming vents, and the now-dormant Great Geysir that gave all geysers their name.
