Knossos Palace Heraklion Guided and Eco Bike City Tour
Step inside Europe's oldest city, then glide through Heraklion's living streets on an eco bike.
This combined experience pairs a professional guided visit to Knossos Palace with a relaxed eco bike ride through Heraklion's most atmospheric neighborhoods, offering two complementary ways to understand Crete's layered history and culture.
The morning begins at the legendary archaeological site of Knossos, guided by Helen, whose expertise transforms stone ruins into vivid stories of the Minoan world. The afternoon shifts pace entirely as you take to two wheels and explore the lived-in corners of Heraklion that most visitors never discover.
Small group sizes keep both experiences personal and unhurried, and your local guide brings candid, firsthand insight into Cretan traditions, food culture, and daily life. This is a tour designed for curious travelers who want substance, not spectacle.

Tour Itinerary
The tour begins at the entrance of Knossos Palace, where your guide Helen meets the group and provides an introduction to the Minoan civilization before entering the site.
Helen leads the group through the ruins of the first great European palace, sharing the history of how it was built, how Knossos thrived, and how life there came to an abrupt end in 1450 B.C. The guided visit connects Knossos to wider ancient world history, including its relationship in time to the Pyramids of Egypt and Stonehenge.
After the palace visit, the group moves to the eco bike meeting point in Heraklion city to begin the second part of the experience.
On eco bikes, the group explores Heraklion's historic neighborhoods, venturing off the main tourist routes into streets where locals live and work. Your Cretan guide shares personal insight into the city's food, customs, and social fabric as you ride.
The eco bike tour concludes back at the starting point in Heraklion, leaving participants with time to continue exploring the city independently.
