Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch & Constantia Wine Tasting
A guided journey through Cape Town's most celebrated natural and cultural landmarks
This eight-hour guided tour brings together the very best of what Cape Town has to offer, anchored by a ride to the summit of Table Mountain, a stroll through a UNESCO-listed botanical garden, a photo stop in the vibrant Bo-Kaap neighbourhood, and two wine tastings in the historic Constantia Valley.
Table Mountain is widely recognised as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, and ascending it via the rotating cable car is an experience that sets the tone for the entire day. The 360-degree panorama from the top encompasses the Atlantic Ocean, the Cape Peninsula, and the sprawling city below.
Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens occupies a privileged position at the eastern foot of Table Mountain, benefiting from the peninsula's highest rainfall and supporting an extraordinary range of indigenous flora. The gardens hold dual recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are considered among the finest botanical spaces in Africa.
The Constantia wine valley lies just 15 to 20 minutes from the city centre and represents one of the oldest wine-producing regions in South Africa. Stops at Groot Constantia and Constantia Glen offer a chance to sample wines that reflect centuries of winemaking tradition in a lush, sheltered valley setting.

Itinerary
The tour begins with a visit to the Bo-Kaap, Cape Town's historic Cape Malay Quarter. The neighbourhood's brightly coloured terraced houses and cobblestone streets offer a striking visual backdrop and a window into the city's multicultural heritage.
Board the aerial cable car for the ascent to the Table Mountain summit. The car features a rotating floor, one of only three such systems in the world, allowing all passengers unobstructed views during the ride up.
Once at the top, a guided walk introduces the mountain's unique fynbos vegetation, geological formations, and panoramic viewpoints. The summit plateau offers sweeping views across the Cape Peninsula and both coastlines.
The group descends to the southern slopes of Table Mountain for a walk through Kirstenbosch. The gardens showcase thousands of indigenous South African plant species and provide a peaceful, shaded environment for exploration.
The afternoon moves to the Constantia Valley and the historic estate of Groot Constantia, which dates back to 1685. Guests are guided through a tasting of the estate's signature wines in a setting that reflects the region's long winemaking legacy.
The day concludes with a second tasting at Constantia Glen, a boutique winery known for its Bordeaux-style blends and well-regarded Sauvignon Blanc. The estate's hillside setting provides a fitting end to the day's itinerary.
