Ujung Kulon National Park 5-Day Excursion
Explore one of Southeast Asia's last great wilderness frontiers — rivers, reefs, and rainforest in one unforgettable journey.
This five-day guided excursion into Ujung Kulon National Park takes travelers deep into a protected UNESCO World Heritage landscape at the western tip of Java, combining river canoeing, island-hopping, jungle trekking, and reef snorkeling into a single immersive experience.
Managed in partnership with the WWF and Indonesia's National Conservation Department, the park is home to one of the world's most endangered large mammals, the Javan rhinoceros, along with wild bulls, peacocks, deer, and an extraordinary range of tropical birdlife. Every activity on this tour is designed to educate as well as to engage, ensuring visitors leave with a deeper understanding of why this ecosystem matters.
Guests are accommodated at Peucang Island's boutique villas, a secluded base surrounded by clear waters and old-growth forest. The pace is relaxed and the difficulty level is easy, making this an accessible wilderness experience for a wide range of travelers.

Itinerary Overview
Guests are collected from Jakarta hotels and transferred to Tanjung Lesung beach resort. After breakfast on board, the journey continues to Handeuleum Island for canoeing on the Cigenter River, with a stop at Badul Island for swimming and snorkeling before arriving at Peucang Island for check-in.
A morning jungle walk leads to Karang Copong, where the forest canopy hosts birds, monkeys, and deer along ancient tree-lined trails. The afternoon features a speed boat cruise to Cidaon's open grasslands to observe wild bulls, peacocks, and tropical birdlife at dusk.
A half-hour boat ride to Cibom Island begins a four-hour return trek through old-growth tropical rainforest to the Dutch colonial lighthouse at Tanjung Layar. The trail passes through some of the park's most pristine and ecologically significant terrain.
A full day is reserved for independent exploration of Peucang Island's beaches and reef. Guests can swim, snorkel, or simply rest on the white-sand shores in front of the villa accommodation.
A final morning of beach and water activities precedes the midday departure by boat to Carita, followed by an overland transfer back to Jakarta hotels. The tour concludes upon hotel drop-off in the late afternoon.
