Sorrento, Ieranto Bay and Amalfi Coast Boat Tour
A full-day voyage along a UNESCO World Heritage coastline, aboard a silent hybrid gozzo with access to protected waters.
This Amalfi Coast boat tour from Sorrento offers an intimate, low-impact way to experience one of the most celebrated stretches of Mediterranean coastline, with exclusive entry into a marine protected area that standard diesel vessels cannot reach.
Departing from the port of Piano di Sorrento, the route traces a path past ancient fishing villages, submerged Roman ruins, and dramatic cliff formations before arriving at the historic towns of Amalfi and Positano. The boat accommodates a maximum of eight guests, keeping the experience unhurried and personal throughout the day.
The hybrid motor gozzo operates on electric power in sensitive zones, allowing passage into the Bay of Ieranto within the Protected Marine Area of Punta Campanella. This access is unavailable to conventional motorboats and represents a rare opportunity to swim and snorkel in waters that remain largely undisturbed.
The return journey from Positano to Sorrento concludes with a limoncello tasting on board, a fitting close to a day spent moving through the landscapes that define the Campanian coast.

Itinerary
The day begins with a pick-up at your hotel or an agreed meeting point, followed by a transfer to the port of Piano di Sorrento. The captain and crew welcome guests on board the hybrid gozzo before departure.
The boat departs along the Sorrento coastline, passing the ancient fishing village of Marina Grande and the remains of a Roman villa at the Bagni della Regina Giovanna. A natural waterfall flowing directly from the cliff face marks the approach to the Bay of Ieranto.
The hybrid engine allows entry into the Protected Marine Area of Punta Campanella, where guests can swim and snorkel in calm, clear water. A relaxing break with snacks and drinks is served on board during this section of the journey.
The boat docks at Amalfi for one to two hours, giving guests time to walk through the historic center and visit the Cathedral. A subsequent stop in Positano allows exploration of the town's characteristic stacked architecture and waterfront.
The return passage from Positano to Sorrento runs past Praiano, the Fiordo di Furore, and the island of Li Galli. Guests enjoy a limoncello tasting on board before the boat re-enters the port of Piano di Sorrento.
Upon arrival at the port, guests are transferred back to their hotel or the agreed meeting point. The tour concludes at the same location where the day began.
