South Coast Adventure - Rally Car Edition
Experience Iceland's most iconic route from the passenger seat of a 500-horsepower road-legal rally car.
This private Iceland South Coast rally car tour combines the raw beauty of Iceland's most celebrated coastal route with the visceral thrill of riding in a high-performance, road-legal Ford Focus RS.
Iceland's South Coast stretches through a landscape of thundering waterfalls, volcanic black sand beaches, and glacier tongues that inch toward the sea. Covering these landmarks in a purpose-built rally car transforms a sightseeing day into something genuinely memorable.
The tour is fully private, meaning the itinerary adapts to your group's interests and pace. Whether you linger at a waterfall or request an extra stop along the way, the day belongs entirely to you.
Your chauffeur is both a licensed professional driver and a knowledgeable local guide, offering context on the geology, history, and culture of the landscapes you pass through, all while managing the car with care and precision.

Itinerary
Your chauffeur collects you directly from your accommodation and heads south through the lava fields and farmland that frame the city's outskirts. The turbocharged engine and custom exhaust note set the tone for the day ahead.
Seljalandsfoss drops 60 meters from a former sea cliff, and a path behind the falls offers a rare perspective from inside the cascade. Nearby Gljufrabui is tucked inside a narrow canyon, accessible only by wading through a shallow stream.
One of Iceland's widest waterfalls, Skogafoss produces a near-permanent rainbow in its mist on clear days. A staircase to the side leads to a viewpoint above the falls and the river valley stretching inland toward the highlands.
A short walk from the car park brings you to the snout of Solheimajokull, an outlet glacier of the Myrdalsjokull ice cap. The ice is visibly retreating, and the exposed rock on either side tells a clear story of long-term glacial change.
Reynisfjara is defined by its hexagonal basalt columns, sea stacks, and powerful Atlantic surf. The optional Dyrhólaey stop nearby provides elevated views across the black sand coastline toward the Westman Islands.
The return journey follows the same scenic coastal road, with optional stops available if time and conditions allow. Your chauffeur drops you directly at your accommodation in Reykjavik.
