Itinerary
Your guide collects you from your hotel, guesthouse, or a designated pickup location in downtown Reykjavík. The drive to Thingvellir National Park takes approximately 45 minutes.
On arrival at the Silfra fissure, your expert guide covers all safety procedures and answers questions before the snorkel begins. This briefing ensures every participant is comfortable and informed.
The team assists you into a full dry suit along with hood, gloves, mask, and fins. Proper fitting is essential for warmth and safety in the cold glacial water.
You enter the water and drift through the fissure, passing sections known as the Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral, and Silfra Lagoon. Visibility in the glacially filtered water regularly exceeds 100 metres.
After exiting the water, you warm up with hot chocolate at the site. Your guide shares the complimentary GoPro images captured during your snorkel.
The group boards the vehicle for the return journey to Reykjavík, with drop-off at the original pickup point.
