Tour Itinerary
The tour begins at the Spanish Steps, a monumental stairway of 135 steps connecting Piazza di Spagna to the Trinita dei Monti church above. The site has served as a gathering place for locals and visitors for over three centuries.
The group walks to the Trevi Fountain, a towering Baroque composition completed in 1762 and fed by one of Rome's ancient aqueducts. The fountain occupies the full rear facade of a palace and commands the small square around it.
Piazza Colonna centers on the Column of Marcus Aurelius, a second-century monument decorated with spiral relief carvings. The square sits directly beside the Palazzo Chigi, the seat of Italy's Council of Ministers.
The Pantheon stands as one of the most complete ancient structures in Rome, with its original dome and portico largely intact after nearly two thousand years. Piazza della Rotonda in front of it is a natural gathering point framed by a small Egyptian obelisk and fountain.
