How the Experience Unfolds
Guests meet the crew at least 15 minutes before departure for a safety briefing and an overview of the cruise plan. Facilities are available at the store before boarding.
The Miranda departs the port while the land-based spotter tracks cetacean activity along the southwest coast of Madeira. The guide explains the species likely to be encountered and the behaviour to look for.
The yacht positions itself in accordance with whale watching regulations to observe dolphins or whales in their natural habitat. Photography from deck is encouraged throughout this phase.
The captain anchors at a selected coastal spot where guests may enter the water using the provided snorkeling equipment and explore the volcanic underwater landscape.
