Private South Coast + Glacier Hike Captured
Iceland's most iconic coastal landmarks, a glacier hike, and a full professional photo package — all in one private day.
This private Iceland South Coast tour combines the region's most celebrated natural landmarks with a guided glacier hike on Solheimajokull and a dedicated photography experience, so every moment is documented without interrupting your journey.
Departing from Reykjavik, you travel southeast along the Ring Road with a knowledgeable private guide who introduces you to Iceland's geology, ecology, and culture along the way. The route covers waterfalls, a glacier, dramatic coastal cliffs, and a legendary black sand beach.
What sets this tour apart is the integrated photo package. Your guide doubles as your photographer throughout the day, capturing portraits, group shots, and landscape images at each location. All images are edited and delivered via Google Drive within 14 days of your tour.

Itinerary Overview
Your first stop is Seljalandsfoss, where a path leads behind the falling water into a shallow cave. The surrounding vegetation, including mosses, ferns, and wildflowers, frames the scene in most seasons. A waterproof jacket is strongly advised due to the significant spray.
Skogafoss is one of Iceland's widest and most powerful waterfalls, with a sheer vertical drop of over 60 meters. An adjacent staircase offers a bird's-eye perspective over the falls and the Skoga river valley below. On clear days, the mist frequently produces visible rainbows.
At Solheimajokull, your guide fits the group with glacier crampons and provides a walking briefing before the hike begins. The approximately 2.5-hour excursion covers the glacier's surface, passing crevasses, volcanic ash layers, and deep blue ice formations. Your guide explains the glacier's history, its changing size, and its role in Iceland's freshwater system throughout the walk.
Dyrhólaey is a promontory offering sweeping views over the South Coast, including the black sand shoreline and the characteristic rock arch at sea level. The cliffs are home to puffin colonies during the summer nesting season. The vantage point here is among the most photographed on the South Coast.
The tour concludes at Reynisfjara, a beach defined by its striking black volcanic sand, stacked basalt columns, and the offshore Reynisdrangar sea stacks. The nearby Halsanefshellir cave offers an additional geological feature to explore. The beach carries a strong surf warning and guests are advised to observe safety guidelines at the water's edge.
