2-Day Private Desert Tour from Marrakech to Zagora
Cross the Atlas, ride the dunes, and sleep beneath Saharan stars in Zagora.
This 2-day private desert tour from Marrakech to Zagora is designed for travelers who want an authentic Saharan experience without spending weeks on the road. In just two days, you cross the High Atlas Mountains, traverse the cinematic Draa Valley, and reach the golden dunes of Zagora for a camel trek at sunset and an overnight stay in a traditional Berber camp.
The route connects some of Morocco's most iconic landscapes and heritage sites, beginning with the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and continuing through Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara. Every segment of the drive reveals a different facet of southern Morocco, from terraced mountain passes to palm-lined river oases.
The overnight camp at the Tinfou dunes offers a genuine break from city life. Berber-style tents, a communal dinner, and a pre-dawn alarm for the sunrise make this a compact but deeply memorable journey. The return route introduces the Ounila Valley and the Glaoui Kasbah of Telouet, adding historical texture to the final day.
