Essential Benagil Caves Tour – Armação de Pêra to Benagil
Sail past hidden caves, secluded beaches, and iconic sea arches along the Algarve's most celebrated coastline.
The Benagil Cave tour departs from Armação de Pêra and takes you along one of the most visually striking stretches of Portugal's Atlantic coast, passing more than 10 caves and around 15 beaches that are unreachable by land. With a maximum of 10 passengers per departure, the experience remains intimate and unhurried throughout.
Aboard a modern, comfortable boat, a knowledgeable guide accompanies the group at every stop, pointing out geological formations, coastal history, and the best vantage points for photography. Warm and waterproof jackets are provided on board, so the trip is comfortable regardless of the season.
The route links a series of landmarks that range from well-known destinations such as Marinha Beach to lesser-visited spots like Captain's Cave and the Natural Arch of Albandeira. Each location adds a distinct character to the journey, offering something new around every headland.
Returning to Armação de Pêra Fishermen's Beach, the full circuit covers the coastal stretch that defines the Algarve's reputation as one of Europe's most scenic shorelines. The one-hour format keeps the pace engaging without rushing any single stop.
