The Ocean Revival Park wreck diving experience takes advanced divers into one of the most remarkable artificial reef projects ever undertaken — four retired Portuguese Navy warships deliberately sunk off the Algarve coast to create a permanent underwater sanctuary for marine life and divers alike.
Located east of Alvor's reef structure, the four vessels rest at depths ranging from 18 to 32 meters, offering a layered diving experience that rewards both exploration and observation. The ships, each between 80 and 100 meters in length, were carefully prepared for safe penetration dives, providing advanced divers with a genuinely immersive wreck diving environment.
Departing from Portimão, the boat reaches the reserve in approximately 20 minutes. The session includes two dives on two different ships, conducted with air, with a surface interval of roughly one hour between each descent.

How the Experience Unfolds
Gather at the meeting point in Portimão, where the dive team will brief participants and prepare equipment before boarding.
Navigate approximately 20 minutes west from Portimão to reach the Ocean Revival Park, situated east of Alvor's reef structure.
Descend onto one of the four warships resting between 18 and 32 meters. Explore the structure and encounter the marine species that have colonised the vessel.
Return to the surface for a rest period of approximately one hour, during which bottled water is provided and the team debriefs the first dive.
Descend onto a second, different warship to explore a distinct section of the reserve and observe additional marine habitats formed across the sunken fleet.
Board the boat for the short return journey to Portimão, concluding the 4h 30min experience.
