          More to know about Aljezur

Aljezur is a small coastal village in southwestern Portugal, in the Algarve region. Perched on cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, it features whitewashed houses, a 14th-century castle ruin, and nearby golden beaches. Visitors hike along dramatic coastal trails, swim at sheltered coves, and explore traditional fishing villages nearby.
Aljezur is a municipality in the northwestern Algarve, Portugal, situated within the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park. It covers a coastal and inland territory characterised by Atlantic clifftops, cork oak woodland, and river estuaries, positioned approximately 50 kilometres north of Lagos and 120 kilometres west of Faro. The area represents one of the least developed stretches of coastline in Southern Europe and carries significant ecological and cultural heritage value.
