Small Group Kayak Adventure — Explore Arrábida Natural Park from Lisbon
Paddle the Atlantic coastline, discover hidden caves, and unwind on one of Portugal's most secluded beaches.
This Arrábida Natural Park kayak tour takes you from the heart of Lisbon to the crystal-clear Atlantic waters of Sesimbra, offering a full-day escape into one of Portugal's most protected coastal landscapes. Roundtrip transportation from Time Out Market is included, making the journey seamless from start to finish.
Sesimbra sits approximately 30 minutes south of Lisbon and has been inhabited for more than 6,000 years. Its rugged coastline, dramatic limestone cliffs, and sheltered coves sit within the boundaries of Arrábida Natural Park, a protected area recognised for its exceptional biodiversity and marine clarity.
The tour uses double sit-on-top tandem kayaks, chosen for their stability and ease of use on open water. Solo travellers are paired with another solo participant or with the guide, ensuring everyone is comfortable and supported throughout the paddle.
After roughly an hour on the water, the group reaches Ribeiro do Cavalo, a beach accessible only by sea or a steep trail. A picnic lunch featuring local snacks, sandwiches, fruit, and drinks is served here, with time to swim, snorkel, or simply take in the surroundings before the return paddle to Sesimbra Marina.
