How the Session Unfolds
Participants meet the instructor at the Gale Beach car park 15 minutes before the scheduled start. Equipment is fitted here, including wetsuit and surfboard selection based on your size and experience.
Your instructor walks through fundamental techniques on the beach: stance, pop-up mechanics, paddling posture and basic wave awareness. A short physical warm-up prepares your body for the water.
You move into the surf with the instructor alongside you at all times. Early water time focuses on paddling out, reading incoming sets and practising the pop-up in a controlled way.
