Private Dinghy Tour of the La Maddalena Archipelago from Palau or La Maddalena
A full day of secluded coves, crystalline waters, and natural pools aboard an exclusive private dinghy.
This private dinghy tour of the La Maddalena Archipelago offers an intimate, unhurried way to discover one of the Mediterranean's most celebrated marine landscapes. With a dedicated skipper and a maximum of five guests, every stop feels personal and unhurried. The day unfolds across turquoise bays, granite-fringed beaches, and protected natural pools that define northern Sardinia.
Departing from either the port of Palau or La Maddalena, the route winds through a protected national park where vehicle traffic gives way to the quiet rhythm of the sea. Stops are chosen to balance active exploration with genuine relaxation, so guests who want to snorkel over Posidonia meadows can do so while others simply drift in the shallows.
The island of Spargi contributes two of the day's standout anchorages: the horseshoe-shaped Cala Corsara and the sheltered Cala Granara, both with white sand and water that shifts from pale green to deep blue in a matter of metres. The natural pools of Budelli and the clear-water bay of Cala Napoletana on Caprera round out an itinerary that covers the archipelago's greatest hits without feeling rushed.

Itinerary Overview
Board the Sacs 5.50 dinghy at your chosen departure port. The skipper briefs the group on the day's planned route and safety procedures before casting off into the sheltered waters of the archipelago.
The first major stop takes in the twin bays of Spargi, where fine white sand meets intensely clear water. Both coves offer excellent conditions for swimming and light snorkelling over sandy seabeds.
The dinghy anchors near the protected natural pools, a series of shallow, warm basins enclosed by granite outcrops. Entry is subject to park regulations, and the skipper will advise on permitted access areas.
Cala Napoletana's transparent waters invite a swim and an optional exploration of the rocky seabed beneath. The surrounding pine-covered hillside creates a quiet, shaded backdrop for a mid-day break.
Depending on conditions, the route may include Santa Maria Island and its long sandy beach, as well as Cala Soraya, Cala Connari, or Cala dell'Amore. The skipper selects the best combination on the day.
The dinghy makes its way back along the La Maddalena coastline, offering a final scenic cruise before docking at the original departure point.
