From Santa Teresa di Gallura: Sailing Tour to Southern Corsica
A full day between two countries, legendary waters, and hidden island coves.
This sailing tour to southern Corsica departs from the port of Santa Teresa di Gallura and takes small groups through one of the Mediterranean's most celebrated sea passages, combining open-water sailing with secluded cove swimming.
The Strait of Bonifacio, a narrow channel separating northern Sardinia from southern Corsica, is known for its dramatic rocky coastline, strong currents, and a cluster of protected island reserves. Sailing through it on a classic vessel gives a perspective that no land-based itinerary can replicate.
With a maximum of five guests aboard, the experience stays genuinely intimate. The skipper navigates to two selected stops depending on daily sea conditions, choosing among the Lavezzi archipelago, Cavallo island, Isola Piana, the Sperone area, and the Bonifacio cliff face.
An on-board aperitif with local products is served during the day, giving guests time to settle, take in the scenery, and connect with the rhythm of the passage before reaching the final destination of the afternoon.

Itinerary
The day begins at the port of Santa Teresa di Gallura, where guests board the Sciacchetrà Barberis sailing boat and receive a brief safety and route overview from the skipper.
The boat sails north through the Strait of Bonifacio, the narrow channel between Sardinia and Corsica. Guests enjoy open-deck views of the rocky coastline and the surrounding protected marine area.
The skipper selects the first anchoring point based on sea conditions, choosing from Lavezzi, Cavallo, Isola Piana, Sperone, or the Bonifacio cliff. Guests swim, snorkel, or use the SUP in clear, calm waters.
A small aperitif with local products is served on deck, offering a relaxed pause between the two island stops while the boat sails to the next destination.
A second anchor point is chosen from the same pool of locations, giving guests an additional opportunity to swim and experience a different cove or coastal landscape.
The boat sails back south through the Strait and returns to the port of Santa Teresa di Gallura, completing an eight-hour day on the water.
