Catamaran Tour to Asinara Island from Stintino
Sail into Sardinia's wildest national park, swim in crystalline coves, and dine on fresh fish beneath open skies.
This Asinara Island catamaran tour takes guests from the port of Stintino into one of the Mediterranean's most protected marine environments, combining natural beauty with relaxed sailing aboard a spacious 10-metre vessel.
The Gulf of Asinara unfolds across shades of turquoise that rival any postcard, yet this coastline remains largely unspoiled thanks to the island's national park status. The skipper navigates to the most rewarding anchorages of the day, factoring in wind conditions to find the calmest, clearest water for swimming.
A highlight of the journey is the stop at the Piscine Naturali di Fornelli, a sheltered lagoon where the sea floor is visible metres below the surface. The legendary beach of La Pelosa, framed by a 16th-century Aragonese tower, offers another exceptional setting for a swim directly from the boat.
On board, a generous Sardinian lunch is served midway through the day, featuring local charcuterie, a fresh fish course, fruit, wine, water, coffee, and a digestif. The four-cabin catamaran provides two bathrooms, a shaded cockpit, sun nets, and a dinette, ensuring comfort across the full seven-and-a-half-hour outing.

Itinerary
The catamaran departs from Stintino harbour and begins its sail toward the Gulf of Asinara. The skipper briefs guests on the day's route and safety procedures as the coastline opens up ahead.
The boat anchors at the Piscine Naturali di Fornelli, a series of natural rock pools known for exceptional water clarity. Guests enter the water directly from the vessel for a free swim in this sheltered setting.
Depending on wind and sea conditions, the skipper selects two or three further anchorages along Asinara's coastline. These stops allow additional swimming and snorkelling in the island's characteristic turquoise waters.
A Sardinian lunch is served in the catamaran's shaded cockpit, including local antipasti, a fish course, wine, water, fruit, coffee, and a digestif. Guests relax at anchor while enjoying the meal with views of the island.
The route takes in the area around La Pelosa beach, framed by its historic Aragonese tower, for a final swim or simply to admire the scenery from the water. This is one of the most photographed stretches of coast in northern Sardinia.
The catamaran sails back to Stintino harbour, completing the full day on the water. Guests disembark with time to explore the village before the evening.
