Sailboat Tour to Asinara National Park from Stintino with Lunch on Board
A full day at sea aboard the Equinoxe, exploring hidden coves, crystalline waters, and the wild beauty of Asinara Island.
This Asinara sailboat tour from Stintino takes a maximum of 10 guests aboard the Equinoxe for an intimate, unhurried exploration of one of the most protected and scenically rich coastlines in the Mediterranean. The day balances active swimming with genuine relaxation and a proper sit-down seafood lunch served at anchor in a sheltered bay.
The skipper reads the weather and sea conditions each morning and adjusts the route accordingly, so the stops reached are always the most suitable for the day. Guests can choose to swim ashore to white sand beaches or stay aboard to read, tan, and watch the coastline drift by.
Asinara Island is a former penal colony that has been a national park since 1997, meaning its waters and shoreline remain largely untouched by mass tourism. The combination of that protected status with a small-group format creates conditions that are genuinely difficult to find elsewhere in Sardinia.
Tour Highlights
Five planned stops along the Asinara coastline, each chosen for clear water, scenic surroundings, or access to hidden coves.
Strictly limited to 10 guests, giving each person genuine space on deck and in the water.
A mid-morning Sardinian aperitif featuring pane guttiau, local sausage, and aged pecorino cheese.
A full seafood lunch served on board, paired with fresh Vermentino white wine and finished with Sardinian sweets and acquavite.
An optional shore stop inside the Asinara National Park at the Fornelli area, offering a rare walk in a protected natural environment.
Access to iconic sites including La Pelosa beach, the Spalmatore atoll, and the natural pools at Fornelli.
A flexible itinerary managed by an experienced skipper who adapts each day's route to ensure the best possible conditions.
How the Day Unfolds
Guests board the Equinoxe at the Stintino marina and set sail toward the Asinara National Park. The skipper briefs the group on the day's planned route based on current sea and weather conditions.
The boat makes its first swimming and snorkeling stops near sites such as Cala Punta Lunga or the Spalmatore atoll. A traditional Sardinian aperitif is served on deck between stops.
Guests have approximately one hour ashore inside the national park at Fornelli, with the Granite Quarries offered as an alternative depending on conditions. Both options provide a genuine encounter with the island's landscape and history.
The boat anchors in a protected bay for a 90-minute lunch break. The meal consists of a seafood appetizer, a seafood main course, fresh Vermentino wine, water, coffee, acquavite, and Sardinian sweets.
The afternoon includes additional stops at sites such as the Piscine Naturali di Fornelli or La Pelosa beach, giving guests further opportunities to swim and explore before the return sail to Stintino.
