4-Day Shared Guided Tour of Iguazu Falls, Itaipu Dam, Ciudad del Este and Puerto Iguazu
Four days across three countries, two iconic natural wonders, and one unforgettable journey through the heart of South America.
This four-day itinerary takes you through the most spectacular landscapes and cultural landmarks of the Triple Border region, combining the raw power of Iguazu Falls with the engineering marvel of Itaipu Dam, cross-border shopping in Paraguay, and an exploration of Argentina's side of the falls.
Guided throughout, the tour begins on the Brazilian side of Iguacu National Park, where panoramic walkways above the Iguacu River reveal nearly 80 percent of the 275 individual cataracts. The experience continues with a deep dive into Foz do Iguacu's multicultural identity, visiting a mosque, a Buddhist temple, a cathedral, and the landmark where three nations converge.
The final days cross into Paraguay for one of South America's largest commercial districts and into Argentina for the closest accessible view of Devil's Throat, the tallest single drop in the entire falls system. Each stage is structured to offer both natural discovery and cultural context without unnecessary rush.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
After hotel pickup, you join a guided walk along the cliff-top boardwalks of Iguacu National Park on the Brazilian side. The route covers approximately 2 km including stairs, offering sweeping panoramic views of nearly 80 percent of the 275 individual falls. This vantage point is widely regarded as the most comprehensive single perspective of the entire falls system.
The morning begins with a guided tour of Itaipu Binacional, including a presentation video and bus transit to panoramic observation points covering the dam structure, spillway, forced pipelines, diversion channel, and Itaipu Lake. The afternoon city tour visits the Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Mosque, the Chen Tien Buddhist Temple, the Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe Diocesan Cathedral, and the Marco das Tres Fronteiras complex, where an obelisk marks the exact meeting point of three nations.
A day is dedicated to Ciudad del Este, Paraguay's major commercial hub located across the Friendship Bridge from Foz do Iguacu. The market offers an extensive range of electronics, cosmetics, clothing, beverages, and international brands at competitive prices. Guides assist with navigation and border crossing procedures.
The final day crosses into Argentina for the Argentine-side trails and train route leading to Devil's Throat, the tallest and most powerful single drop within the Iguazu system. The trail network is more extensive than the Brazilian side and includes access to Isla San Martin. The day concludes with a two-hour walkthrough of Puerto Iguazu, where local shops offer leather goods, regional wines, cheeses, and artisan products.
