Private 3-Hour Catamaran Sailing Tour of Rio de Janeiro with Open Bar
Sail the iconic waters of Guanabara Bay in style, aboard an elegant catamaran built for comfort and discovery.
This private catamaran tour in Rio de Janeiro offers three hours of exclusive sailing through some of the city's most celebrated waterfront scenery, from the slopes of Sugarloaf Mountain to the contemporary architecture of Niteroi. Designed for those seeking comfort and privacy, every detail on board has been curated to deliver a genuinely memorable sea-level perspective of Rio.
Departing from Marina da Gloria, the route traces a sweeping arc along the Guanabara Bay shoreline, revealing landmarks that are simply not accessible from land. Guests sail past the beaches of Flamengo and Botafogo, the historic fortifications of Urca, and the commanding silhouette of Corcovado before arriving at the base of Sugarloaf.
The catamaran itself is spacious and well-equipped, with shaded and open-sun areas, hammock nets, a freshwater shower, and snorkeling gear available on board. The open bar keeps the experience relaxed throughout, and the vessel's design allows passengers to move freely between relaxation zones as the scenery unfolds around them.

Itinerary
The tour begins at Pier A0, through the green gate on the left. Guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes before departure. The catamaran sets off along the Guanabara Bay shoreline, passing the beaches of Flamengo and Botafogo and the hillside neighborhood of Urca.
The vessel approaches the foot of Sugarloaf Mountain, allowing passengers a close-up view of the granite monolith and its iconic cable car system. The former Casino da Urca and the Higher School of War are visible along this stretch of the bay.
The route passes very close to this colossal coastal fortress, which has guarded the entrance to Guanabara Bay for centuries. The scale and preservation of the structure make for a remarkable photo opportunity from the water.
The catamaran anchors near these protected coves on the Niteroi coastline, providing time for swimming and snorkeling. Guests can use the onboard freshwater shower before continuing the route.
The tour passes at the foot of the MAC, Niemeyer's saucer-shaped museum perched above the bay in Niteroi. The building's extraordinary geometry is best appreciated from the water.
On the return leg, the bay catches the late afternoon light in a display that defines Rio's visual identity. The final stretch passes close to the Santos Dumont Airport runway, where aircraft take off directly over the water.
