Diamond Beach, Glacier Lagoon and Golden Circle with Snowmobile
Two iconic Icelandic routes. One private adventure built entirely around your group.
This 2-day private Iceland tour takes you through the country's most celebrated natural landmarks, combining the Golden Circle, a snowmobile ride on Langjökull Glacier, and a choice between the Glacier Lagoon with Diamond Beach or the Snæfellsnes Peninsula on day two.
Day one covers the legendary Golden Circle route, with stops at Þingvellir National Park, the Geysir geothermal field, and the powerful Gullfoss waterfall. The afternoon shifts to the highlands, where a snowmobile excursion on Langjökull Glacier adds a genuine sense of scale and remoteness to the journey.
Day two offers a meaningful choice based on your group's interests. The Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach route heads to Iceland's southeast coast, where icebergs drift through Jökulsárlón and wave-polished ice fragments wash up on a black sand beach. The Snæfellsnes option, by contrast, covers the dramatic western peninsula, taking in Kirkjufell Mountain, coastal cliffs, and the volcanic landscapes of Snæfellsjökull National Park.
Private pick-up and drop-off from Reykjavík is included across both days, allowing families and small groups to travel at their own pace without coordinating with larger tour buses or fixed schedules.
Tour Highlights
Snowmobile on Langjökull, Iceland's second-largest glacier, for a striking aerial perspective of the highland interior.
Walk Diamond Beach and observe translucent ice blocks resting against volcanic black sand at the glacier lagoon outlet.
Watch Strokkur erupt at the Geysir geothermal area, one of the most reliably active geysers in the world.
Visit Þingvellir National Park, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates visibly meet at the surface.
Photograph Kirkjufell Mountain on the optional Snæfellsnes route, one of Iceland's most recognizable natural formations.
Travel exclusively with your group in a private vehicle, with no shared buses or fixed group dynamics to work around.
Choose your own day-two itinerary, tailoring the experience to the landscapes your group wants most.
Itinerary Overview
The tour begins with pick-up from Reykjavík, followed by the classic Golden Circle loop. Þingvellir National Park, the erupting Strokkur geyser, and the wide cascade of Gullfoss waterfall are all included in the morning and midday portion of day one.
In the afternoon, the group heads to Langjökull Glacier for a guided snowmobile tour across the ice cap. This activity departs from the Gullfoss area and provides access to a high-altitude glacier environment rarely reached on standard day tours.
An early departure from Reykjavík leads southeast along the coast toward Jökulsárlón, where calved icebergs float in a glacial lake before reaching the sea. Diamond Beach, immediately adjacent, is covered with ice pieces sculpted by the ocean into clear, gem-like forms.
The western alternative visits Kirkjufell Mountain, the lava field beach at Djúpalónssandur, the coastal village of Arnarstapi, and Snæfellsjökull National Park, which sits at the tip of the peninsula beneath a glacier-capped stratovolcano.
Both day-two routes conclude with a direct return transfer to Reykjavík in the evening, completing the two-day circuit with drop-off at the original meeting point.
