Morocco Amazing 12 Days Tour From Tangier
From the northern coast to the golden dunes of the Sahara, a complete journey through Morocco's landscapes, cities, and cultures.
This 12-day Morocco tour from Tangier takes travelers from the blue-washed lanes of Chefchaouen through the imperial cities of Fes, Meknes, and Marrakech, all the way to the vast Erg Chebbi dunes of the Sahara desert. The route connects Morocco's most storied destinations in a single, logically sequenced journey. Difficulty is rated easy, making it accessible for a broad range of travelers.
The itinerary moves through contrasting terrains: the Rif Mountains, the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, the palm-lined valleys of the south, and the Atlantic coastline near Essaouira and Asilah. Along the way, travelers encounter Roman ruins at Volubilis, fortified kasbahs including the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, and working medinas that have functioned continuously for centuries. Each overnight stop is selected to place guests within walking distance of the sites they will explore the following day.
Southern Morocco introduces a different pace, with camel rides at sunset over Erg Chebbi's dunes, a visit to the Gnawa music village of Khamlia, and a night spent in a traditional Berber desert camp. The return north brings travelers through Dades and Todra gorges before a final coastal stretch through Casablanca, Rabat, and Asilah. The tour concludes in Tangier, completing a full north-to-south-and-back circuit of the country.
Accommodations alternate between characterful riads in the medinas, a desert camp under open skies, and comfortable hotels at each stage. Breakfast and dinner are included throughout, allowing travelers to focus on exploration rather than logistics.
