Sunset Catamaran Tour in the Gulf of Asinara from Stintino
Sail into the golden hour aboard a private catamaran and let the Sardinian coastline set the scene for an evening to remember.
This sunset catamaran tour in the Gulf of Asinara departs from Stintino and takes small groups along one of Sardinia's most celebrated stretches of coastline, combining swimming stops, panoramic sailing, and an on-board aperitif and seafood dinner into a single three-and-a-half-hour experience.
Departing approximately one hour before sunset, the catamaran Blueroots heads toward Capo Falcone, where the sun dips behind the headland and casts long reflections across the protected waters of the gulf. Guests have the chance to swim at Fornelli Atoll or just off the La Pelosa turret, two locations known for their clear, shallow conditions.
The Blueroots is a 10-metre catamaran with a 5-metre beam, offering a large sundeck with cushions, a shaded aft living area, two cabins, a full kitchen, and a stern beach platform that allows guests to sit level with the sea. The vessel accommodates up to 12 passengers alongside the crew, keeping the atmosphere relaxed and uncrowded.

Itinerary
Guests board the Blueroots at the departure point in Stintino, approximately one hour before local sunset. The crew provides a brief safety introduction before casting off.
The catamaran sails northwest into the Gulf of Asinara, with views opening up toward the Asinara island national park. The light shifts noticeably as the boat rounds the cape.
Depending on sea and weather conditions, the skipper selects either Fornelli Atoll or the waters off the La Pelosa turret for the swimming stop. Both locations offer clear, sheltered water suitable for all levels.
While anchored or under sail, guests are served a Sardinian aperitif including local cold cuts, aged cheeses, and crostini topped with salmon, cherry tomatoes, and ricotta mustia, paired with wine, beer, or soft drinks.
A plate of seafood fregola is served as the main course, followed by coffee and a digestif. The meal is prepared in the on-board kitchen and served at the aft table.
The Blueroots makes its way back to Stintino harbour as night settles over the gulf, completing the approximately three-and-a-half-hour excursion.
