Golden Circle Small Group Tour and Blue Lagoon Transfers
Iceland's most iconic landscapes and geothermal waters, combined in one unforgettable day.
This tour brings together the defining experiences of Iceland's interior in a single, well-paced day. The Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon combination tour takes you through geothermal fields, historic national parks, cascading waterfalls, volcanic craters, and the world-renowned geothermal spa, all without the need to coordinate separate journeys.
Departing from Reykjavik, the route moves efficiently through contrasting landscapes, from the rift valley of Thingvellir to the explosive geothermal activity at the Geysir area, and on to the dramatic spray of Gullfoss. The day's diversity is one of its greatest strengths, offering geology, history, and nature within a compact itinerary designed for small groups.
The tour concludes with a transfer to the Blue Lagoon, where guests can soak in mineral-rich geothermal waters before returning to the capital. Note that Blue Lagoon tickets must be purchased separately and in advance, with the 17:00 timeslot recommended for this tour.

Itinerary Overview
The journey begins at Thingvellir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet. This is the location of the original Icelandic Commonwealth and offers rare surface-level views of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
The tour continues to the Geysir area, where the active Strokkur geyser erupts every three to four minutes, reaching heights of up to 20 meters. The dormant Geysir itself is also visible nearby, and a lunch stop is included at this location.
From the geothermal area, the group travels to Gullfoss, a two-tiered waterfall on the Hvita River considered among the most beautiful in Iceland. The viewing platforms allow close observation of the cascading glacial water.
Kerid is a volcanic crater lake formed approximately 6,500 years ago, distinguished by its vivid blue-green water and the surrounding contrast of black lava and red volcanic rock. A walk around the rim provides views of the entire crater.
The day concludes with a transfer to the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa, where guests use their pre-purchased tickets to bathe in the mineral-rich, warm waters. The return journey to Reykjavik follows after the soak.
