The tour begins with a view of the Auckland Harbour Bridge, the sole road crossing connecting the central business district to the North Shore and Northland regions. Standing at the waterfront, your guide will outline the bridge's role in Auckland's infrastructure and urban growth.

Located at the entrance to the Waitemata Harbour, Maungauika served as a critical coastal defence point. The site features a 19th-century fort and three disappearing gun batteries constructed during a period of concern over Russian naval activity in the Pacific.

Mount Eden is the tallest of Auckland's 52 volcanic cones, rising 196 metres above sea level. From the summit crater rim, visitors can take in unobstructed views across the city, the Waitemata Harbour, and the Manukau Harbour on a clear day.

Established in 1913, the Wintergardens sit within Auckland's oldest park and house a significant collection of chrysanthemums alongside rare tropical and temperate plants. The glasshouse structures are considered among the finest examples of Edwardian garden architecture in New Zealand.
