The first part of the trip focuses on sourcing live bait, including mackerel, horse mackerel, sardines, and squid. This stage is an experience in itself and sets the foundation for a productive day on the water.
With bait secured, the captain navigates to the most promising fishing grounds. Techniques such as tuna drifting, light drifting, trolling, or squid fishing are deployed according to conditions and guest preferences agreed upon before departure.
Depending on the route chosen — south toward Porto Sciusciau and Maladroxia, or north toward Cala Vinagra — the boat may anchor at scenic coves between fishing sessions. Additional stops are agreed with the group on the day.
After approximately seven hours at sea, the charter returns to the port of Sant'Antioco. The captain can advise on handling the day's catch and local options for preparing your fish.
